According to reports from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of the People's Republic of China, the country's 5G networks currently span all cities and over 90% of villages. This extensive coverage is supported by a remarkable 3.84 million 5G base stations in China, representing 60% of the world's total.
Since the issuance of the first commercial use licenses for 5G communications five years ago, China has made significant strides in integrating 5G technologies into diverse sectors such as industry, energy, mining, healthcare, and education. Notably, the country has established 300 enterprises utilizing 5G networks in production, forming a foundation for the burgeoning "industrial Internet." Looking ahead, China aims to further advance in this area, emphasizing continued development and innovation.
These developments underscore China's commitment to leveraging 5G technology to enhance connectivity, efficiency, and innovation across a wide spectrum of industries, marking a significant step in the global 5G landscape.
